week 9 validation question

October 16, 2012

The Zeemap seems to be creating a validation error and the issue is in the map’s URL. The error is in reference to a misuse of an ampersand by the generated PHP that comes from the Zeemaps  website,  at least that is what it seems to be. Is there a way to fix this error from our end or will it just have to be left alone?

I’m sure everyone will see a similar thing on their maps URL but if you would like to check the validation on mine the URL to my page is:

& is a protected HTML entity which means you use the entity form.

yes, but in my error report the issue is identified as being inside of the zeemap URL. In the Monday night demonstration you showed us the long URL that shows up at the bottom of the browser when you hover over a link, and within that URL there are &. So that is the issue I see, and am asking about. Is there any thing that I can do to make that URL validate in the page?

Great! It looks good. I did not think that you could change a URL like that. Well now I know, thanks derek.
