SSH Secure Shell: Will we need it again?

August 29, 2012

Now that we have created a place in senna for mucking around with web publishing and endowed it with the proper permissions, will we revisit the SSH Secure Shell program again this semester? Is the program still relevant only for us to make sub-folders (sub-directories?) within our allotted senna space?

Hi Jay, this is a good question and the answer is it will depend on you. I use a shell every day in my regular work activities. Later in the semester I will offer some further use of the shell, but from now on you won’t be required to use it in an assignment.
