File Name Question

August 28, 2012

I just finished watching the recording of the lecture last night, and I have one question that wasn’t addressed. On the instructions for assignment 2, it says the file name should be “”wk2_lname.html” (of course replace “lname” with your last name).” In the lecture, however, Derek/you (depending on whether you are Derek or not) said that our file names will always use last name-first initial.

My guess would be that last name-first initial is correct, but I’d hate to lose points (or, more accurately, a minute fraction of a point) because I didn’t follow the written instructions to the letter. So… which is correct?

Actually, either way is fine. Sometimes I’m ambiguous for a reason, sometimes I’m just lame. This time is a case of the later. 😉

Thanks for the clarification. It’s funny because I submitted week 2 with it being called week2 instead of wk2 and I freaked out. I like that you don’t check until Friday so we can fix errors like that. And thanks for the question Alice.

Just remember if you changed the file name that affects the link you submitted as homework and that link might be broken which is a 1.0 deduction on any assignment. And if the link is changed, you can unsubmit and update with the right link.
