CSS books I found helpful this semester

May 5, 2012

Eric Mayer on CSS: mastering the language of the web by Eric Mayer

CSS mastery: advanced web standards solutions by Andy Budd

Transcending CSS: the fine art of web design by Ande Clarke

The CSS anthology: 101 essential tips, tricks & hacks by Rachel Andrew

Everything you know about CSS is wrong by Rachel Andrew

The principles of beautiful web design by Jason Beaird

The first three books were my favorite ones. Eric Mayer’s and Andy Budd’s explanations of CSS class and id are concise and clear.  Andy Clarke’s work is so beautiful makes you wanna cry with envy. Rachel Andrew makes it all seem so easy. Jason Beaird encourages you to experiment with color, forms, patterns and all those beautiful things available to designers.
