¡Hola!

January 26, 2012

My name is Nora and I’m currently living in the San Diego area.

I’ve completed 19 units and will probably graduate in 3 years, hopefully. I’m taking my time, because I really really love my job right now. I’m an outdoor science teacher with the YMCA, which means five days a week I work from 8am to 9pm. Thus, only two course a semester.

I’ve got a small Linux background from labwork for my physics degree. I’ve also have some web site development experience designing my own myspace pages way back when it was cool and blog design.

An unusual fact about Nora? I’ve got pi tattooed to my side. 39 digits. The furthest you need to calculate pi out to measure the size of the universe within error of the hydrogen atom. yeah, geek. :]

    Greetings,

What does an outdoor science teacher do? Does that mean teaching science outside a class room, or the science topics are about the outdoors? Can you tell that it is late?

    Good luck with the class.

I love that idea for a tattoo. I would have never thought of it! I have a tattoo of an ouroboros on my upper right arm. I hear the ouroboros was partially the inspiration for the discovery of the benzene ring, but that is not the reason I have it – I’m more of a history geek than a science geek!

    Good luck this semester!
    Matt

I have no tattoos but I love to hear about what inspires other people! Myself I can never commit to one thing that long! Sounds like it may have been a painful process. Have a great semester! – Angela

I have a great deal of ink and love physics. Geeks are my favourite people.
