Virtual World Experience: Second Life as Ah Blackheart

Second Life is not for everyone. I enjoyed playing around with all the features and exploring the different virtual areas. Initial learning to move avatar and navigating around the virtual world was a bit difficult. Personally, I don’t enjoy playing first person computer games because walking around the virtual world from the avatar perspective makes me dizzy. Most definitely people are able to exercise their creativity on a different level in this virtual world but it takes up a lot of time and eye strain to live life through a virtual world. On a different note, Second Life allows people to express themselves in terms of changing their looks, outfits, hair style, skin tone and even body structure. I do not have a keen eye for fashion nor for looks. Trying to manipulate the avatar turn certain directs or move at a certain speed requires pushing and clicking on a few buttons. I cannot imagine myself living behind a computer screen for time outside of required time for class assignments. I prefer real life interaction rather than virtual world interaction.
