Information Architecture & Findability

October 29, 2010

I chose this article/interview because it addresses the significance of information architecture and findability in the creation of websites.  Over the past several weeks, we have consistently added components to our own personal websites.  The information provided in the article reinforces that knowledgeable and well-equipped web designers are needed to create websites that reach target audiences.

Anyone who has to create a website can gain a clear understanding as to why information architecture and findability are so crucial.

Thanks for sharing that interview. I really enjoyed the perspective it gives to the skills we are developing in SLIS outside of library walls. I also appreciate the simple description of information architecture. I hear that term a lot, but this helped me really grasp it. I found the statement that most IA happens outside of web 2.0 really interesting and important. I haven’t read Ambient Finadability yet but it’s on my list. Nicole

    Nice one…
Oh that Morville. I (believe everyone… has too as well) read his findability book for 202.
