Jonathan’s Final Project Idea

October 6, 2010

I have done some research for other classes on intellectual freedom and thought that this might provide the substance for an interesting webpage.  I imagine that I could provide different sections on current issues and controversies (e.g. the Library Bill of Rights, the PATRIOT Act, Banned Books, ALA professional sections/committees) relating to this subject.  Alternatively, I noticed that someone else suggested turning their Pathfinder developed for the Reference class into a webpage.  I also took that class and created a pathfinder for sociology students and could easily see this turning into a webpage, with sections for the different types of materials they might use (e.g. journals, books, faculty publications, datasets, etc).  I’d appreciate any feedback!

Hmm, I like both ideas. The intellectual freedom one might provide you with more variety in terms of images, videos, etc. that you could link too, which might make for a more visually pleasing site. Good luck!
