Ed’d’s Final Project Extravaganza

March 12, 2010

In order to make the research minimal, I’ve decided on a topic I’ve spent a lot of time with (and received quite a few grants to do): needs of bilingual non-adult user populations in school/public libraries.  I want to build a website that is a practical guide to the what, how, and why’s of relaunching a library or part of a library to address the issues relevant to these particular stakeholders.

I envision a site with:

1- an introductory page explaining the site itself

2-a page profiling examples of individuals and their varied needs

3-a page of FAQs and justification for nay-sayers and other anti-change agents

4-a page for visitor blog posts to collaborate and share best practices

5-a page for programming to meet user needs

6-a page for advertising to get user involvement

7-a page for standards to measure library statistics, improvements of service (if any), and user dis/satisfaction

8-a page for resources in print and other formats

I expect these pages to expand, split or collapse as necessary and depending on the timeframe left once Derek gives us the rubric for this final project.
