Web Accessibility

October 25, 2009

The topic of web accessibility was covered in the course a few weeks ago–in week 6 lecture, to be exact.  In addition to the materials covered in the lecture, we might find the following link to be helpful when we are developing our future websites (e.g. Libr 240’s final project):Web Accessibility. It has suggestions on how we can design our page to be accessible. It has pointers on what we can do to make our content in graphical, audio, and special features (e.g. applets and plug-ins) accessible. You may find some to be a repeat from Derek’s lecture, but there are some that are worth to keep handy. This is one of its pages that lists lots of resources relating to accessible web design: Additional Accessibility Resources
