Update for ISMIR website

October 6, 2009

I’m going to create a mock website for the International Society for Music Information Retrieval.  Their current website is a mess, it has no logical hierarchy or organization of content.  Their group provides a large amount of information regarding the subject, but the user has to be really patient in finding it.  It could also use a better MySql database interface, but that’s probably beyond the scope of this class.

I’ll be really interested to see what you come up with, Ted. That site is pretty darn un-navigable.

Are you somehow affiliated with ISMIR? It would be pretty cool if they were able to take some of the organizational “suggestions” you come up with for their web content.
    Best of luck!

The home page right now is just a boring table of contents layout. I’d like to see how you would style/layout the page or integrate a proper navigation element.

Nice. I like how it dovetails with your assessment from week 5 assignment. Consider it approved. Also, you can take a PHP/MYSQL course as a LIBR 246 course.
